The mission of the School is to excel and lead in education, research, and outreach spanning and integrating the full breadth of computing and information technology, including the scientific and technical core, a broad range of applications, and human and societal issues and implications.

Networks Over 20 years ago, at the dawn of the commercial Internet, IU launched a strategic plan to join the burgeoning movement to build a research and education networking community that would protect and support research and discovery. Today, IU Networks remains at the forefront of network operations and initiatives, propelling research and fostering collaboration for scientists and scholars throughout Indiana and the United States and around the globe. IU Networks is proud to extend its services to external partners within R&E as part of a continually growing collaborative advancing networking.

Research Technologies UITS Research Technologies (RT) develops, delivers, and supports advanced technology solutions that enable new possibilities in research, scholarly endeavors, and creative activity at Indiana University and beyond. Services range from consulting about software and computing to creating new software tools. RT complements these efforts with education and technology translation activities to improve the quality of life for people in Indiana, the nation, and the world.
